Playing politics with the intelligence community is stupid

Welcome back to Frontpagelive.com, I’m Carl
Cameron. Impeachment looms much larger with a CIA whistleblower’s
report, Inspector General’s support, and the President’s own Director of National
lIntelligence calling it unprecedented and by the book. The allegation is that Trump abused the office
of the presidency to extort political interference from Ukraine to help him win 2020 election
with dirt on Joe Biden. In the 2016 election, the U.S. intelligence
community found early signs of Russian meddling in 2014. This time officers of the CIA, aides in the
White House and State Dept, along with others, have raised the alarm. The US intelligence community is vast, 17
separate agencies, nearly a million people with top secret clearances, more than a thousand
government organizations, and 2000 private contracting companies. These people do not mess around. The president’s political cronies are mostly
rallying around Trump. They should remember that in the intelligence
community facts are a matter of duty, law and sometimes life or death. Playing politics with the intelligence community
is stupid. Party republicans might want to remember that
our intelligence agencies are tasked with defending our democracy and they have made
clear that this is a credible allegation of potential subversion by the chief executive. The first thing The House should do is thoroughly
investigate. If the Whistleblower’s report stands up, the
house should then censure the president, then move to a full House vote to impeach, followed
by passing articles of impeachment and sending it on to the senate for a trial. Understanding procedure and government civics
really matters. Process makes policy in Washington. Transparency and precedent matter, proper
order is required. Truth will trump a crooked president. Thanks for visiting FrontPageLive.com, please
