  • I usually refuse to vote coz the leaders don't inspire me. But there is an African saying that goes, "If you pull out a single straw from a grass thatched house and it rains, it won't leak." So am better off voting.

  • What! More now than ever Christian leaders should be endorsing a candidate. Trump and Hillary go to church so that's no reason for endorsement according to Skip. Demons are in our churches too. Hillary has more innocent blood on her hands than any of the candidate's running. She is for abortion, against the morality of marriage, for a socialized society and has done nothing but hurt this country since she has been in office. She will take away our freedom in Christian churches for the first time in history. Don't listen to our media and get brain washed but listen to the candidates and go back and see what they represent with their own words. Go back to the begging on Hillary and see what she has represented from the beginning of her career. Look at her husband. That's all I have  to say.

  • Thank you for this message. It is a sensitive issue but we are commanded just as "He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?"(Micah 6:8)

  • Has God foreordained the political system? Dose, not the scripture have the beast turn on the harlot? Did Jesus not show Pilot how God gave him the authority to kill Him? What was the state of leadership at 1 Samul chapter 8? How can we speak of the sovereignty of God and at the same time think we have the ability to influence his plan as though we know better. I will not hold myself responsible for the lawlessness and evil injustice of a crooked nation.

  • It is my understanding as a Christian we have basic beliefs that must be paramount in whatever we do. When Christians refuse to confirm those beliefs, I think it confuses the world and makes it easy for satan to trick and confuse the lost. Among these core beliefs is that 1) the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it expresses his will for all things. 2) We believe that mankind was originally created in the image of God and only finds fulfillment in life when we are rightly related to God. All mankind sins and therefore, falls under the condemnation of God. 3) We believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way of salvation by the grace of God through faith in him as fully revealed in the New Testament of the Bible. 4) We believe that God and his kingdom are our first priority in all things. 5) We believe that all freedom comes from God and him only and that Christians are called to be good stewards of what God has given. We also respect the right of ALL people to reject God if they choose to as a co'-equal rieght to the choice to accept him. 6) We believe that human life begins at conception. 7) We believe that the Constitution of the United States has its roots planted in the Bible and in its original intent is the guiding set of principles for governing the free people of this country. 8) We believe that this country was founded on Christian principles and that the church of Jesus Christ should be free to involve itself in all aspects of American culture and governance. 9) We believe that morality, as defined by the Bible is profitable for everyone. There are a few more but my point here is that when Christians refuse to take a clear stand on specific issues, the church/the body of Christ is weakened. Christians have been all but silenced while our schools are suffering, candidates who hate Christians are winning and we wonder why our country is going down the tube? Christians must be salt and light.

  • Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity set the example of being politically neutral. He knew that the political world was controlled by Satan the Devil, and the Devil offered him all the kingdoms (governments) of this world, if he did one act of worship to him. Jesus did not dispute the fact that the political governments of the world belonged to Satan and he refused to bow to Satan's wishes. This account is found at LUKE 4: 5-8. There the Devil said to him: "I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed to me. and I give it to whomever I wish", stated the Devil. Jesus of course, refused this offer. DANIEL 2: 44, states that soon God's Kingdom government in the hands of Jesus Christ, the "King of KIngs," will do away with all worldly governments that have oppressed humans and it itself will stand to times indefinite and it will transform the Earth into a paradise for lovers of peace.

  • Ha ha ha and there it is ! He just cited exactly how to vote. How sneaky to tell you he is not going to tell you who to vote for. This is why my relationship with God is my own. Why I love him so much and am told I can’t possibly be a good Christian if I vote a certain way or criticize what I see as false teaching or manipulation of the word. There is a whole population of quiet Christians who feel the way I do and are bullied into submission because the “ silent majority” has spoken. His talk was absolutely perfect until the end, when he subliminally endorsed his candidate.

  • To love Jesus, we need to obey Him by discerning the TRUTH. We should read his words, pray, and follow his examples. His disciples did just that; they glorify Jesus, Father, and Holy Spirit by loving the poor, helping the sick, teaching the truth, and SPEAKING the TRUTH to the governments or authorities. We are to be the salt and the light to reflect Jesus Love to others by showing our love (sacrifice one self for others benifit). Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place." (John 18:36) Lately, the religious leaders are preaching other things than the Gospel.
